OVERVIEW
A state-of-the-art steel handling solution has hit the North American market with Flaig's powerful magnetic FXE-TT Telescoping Truss system. Designed to handle sheets ranging from 9-1/2 to 52-1/2 feet long (9 to 16 meters), this system features powerful electro-permanent magnetic cross beams and hydraulic-driven telescopic arms that allow for precise length adjustments.
The included radio remote control provides effortless operation of the entire system, enabling your operators to select the proper magnet modules best suited to handle the load from a safe distance. With intuitive control options, the FXE-TT is a productivity-enhancing tool for demanding steel sheet and plate handling challenges, ensuring every lift is secure, balanced, and efficient.
Features
Two-Step Magnetizing Cycles
The system offers both a "Full Mag” and a "Pick Up" cycle. The Pick Up cycle provides an initial magnetic force for lifting a load to test the lift prior to moving or to de-stack thinner materials. Full Mag provides maximum lifting power once the load is suspended, but prior to completing the lift cycle. This dual approach offers greater control and versatility when handling a variety of plate sizes, thicknesses, and geometries.
Current Control System
An integrated current control system continuously monitors the magnetizing current. This feature can detect issues like a broken cable, ensuring the system is operating correctly and preventing potential failures.
Lifting Eye Safety Switch
A safety switch on the lifting eye prevents accidental release of the load from the operator’s control inputs. The system will only allow a user to switch off the magnet when the lifting chain is free of a load and is supported. This prevents the operator from mistakenly deactivating the magnet while a load is still attached, which is a critical safety measure.
Signal Lights
Maintenance-free LED signal lights that are visible from all sides of the system provide a clear visual indication of the magnet's operational status, allowing operators to quickly assess the system's state from a distance.
Dual Control Interface
The unit can be operated via a radio remote control and a control panel on the crossbar itself. Both controls offer the same functions: Pick Up, Full Mag, and Release.
Autonomy
This unit is designed for direct connection to a 480V/3 phase main power supply. It is also equipped with a 35 gG backup fuse for additional electrical protection. No battery backup is needed as electro-permanent magnets will hold the hold during a power outage or accidental connection failure.
