Industrial Magnetics’ COVID-19 Update

IMI Customers, Suppliers & Channel Partners:
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, State of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced a “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order, effective at 12:01am on March 24. As a part of this order, essential businesses and companies that support essential businesses are permitted to remain open at this time.
In accordance to U.S. Homeland Security’s Guidance on Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce: Ensuring Community and National Resilience in COVID-19 Response, and by decree of several companies we supply, Industrial Magnetics business operations are considered “Essential Business” and its employees are considered an “Essential Infrastructure Workforce”. We manufacture equipment that is used in no less than (9) of the (16) Essential Critical Infrastructure markets as identified in the Guidance on the Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce: Ensuring Community and National Resilience in COVID-19 Response Version 1.0 (March 19, 2020) published by the US Department of Homeland Security.
For our customers and channel partners, IMI will remain operational as long as this guidance remains in place or we are instructed to cease activities by the Federal, State, and/or local authorities. We have implemented mitigation plans in order to continue to provide our equipment with as minimal of disruption as possible. Our headquarters is staffed with sales, engineering and operations professionals who will continue their work as planned. Other members of same staffs are working remote with full capabilities and access necessary to support your requirements.
For our valued suppliers, this applies to your teams as well. Therefore, your workers and carriers are appropriately considered exempt from shelter in place orders, curfews, and other restrictions when commuting to or from work or performing their job functions in support of IMI.
Please know that we remain committed to protecting the health and safety of our employees, customers, and business partners and will continue to follow the enhanced hygiene policies, travel limitations, facility access restrictions, and social distancing measures previously communicated.
