Programmer/Software Developer

This position will be responsible for the development, testing and oversight of process automation and creative technology solutions throughout IMI's systems.

Principal Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Programming and project creation for the DriveWorks Automation Team
  • Creation and maintenance of application and systems integration documentation
  • Integration of IMI's data systems which will require knowledge of SQL, XML, JSON and REST APIs
  • Development of web based solutions which will require knowledge of HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT and Microsoft IIS and .NET Framework
  • Identify automation opportunities in the IMI workflow/areas of business
  • Assist in creative technology solutions in all areas of the business

Industrial Machinist

Sets up, adjusts, and operates machine tools to perform progressive machining operations on standardized and customized work, requiring close tolerances and finish requirements.

Principal Responsibilities:

Responsible for machining assignments and schedules, including but not limited to:

  • Working knowledge and operation of mills, lathes, and inspection equipment
  • Ability to specify and setup job and tooling appropriately
  • CNC program knowledge of M/G code
  • Operates fork truck
  • Assemble products per work instructions and prints
  • Coordinate work schedule with leader
  • Willingness and ability to cross-train and perform another job function

High school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years experience in industrial machining required, 2-4 years blueprint reading preferred.

Industrial Welder / Assembler/ Fabricator

Performs welding functions in the manufacturing of final product, sub-assemblies, or components, and fabrication of same.

Principal Responsibilities:

Responsible for welding and assembly assignments and schedules, including but not limited to:

  • TIG and MIG welding - professional looking, accurate, quality welding
  • Proficient use of welding equipment
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints to determine the correct welding needs for each job
  • Daily bench welding of several different types of magnetic assemblies
  • Assemble products per work instructions and prints
  • Coordinate work schedule with leader
  • Willingness and ability to cross-train and perform other job functions.

High school diploma or equivalent with reading, writing, and basic math proficiency at the high school level and 1-2 years experience in welding and 2-4 years in blueprint reading preferred.

Sr. Electrical Controls Engineer:

Sterling Systems & Controls is looking for a candidate would has more than 5 years of experience in Allen Bradley hardware such as PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix), VFDs (PowerFlex 520 and 750 series), and Soft Starters. Experience in Rockwell Software products such as RSLogix, Factory Talk Studio, and Factory Talk View is required. Experience designing electrical control panels, programming PLC and HMI control systems, and field commissioning experience is required. Familiarity with a variety of instrumentation such as Weight Indicators, Pressure Sensors, Limit Switches, Proximity Sensors, and Safety equipment is ideal. Must be proficient in CAD (DraftSight and E-Plan preferred) for creating electrical drawings. Proficiency in understanding and following UL 508A, NEC, and NFPA standards in regards to Industrial Control Panel design is required.

  • Position requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Associate Electrical Engineer:

Sterling Systems and Controls

Sterling Systems & Controls is looking for a candidate to work under the direction of the engineering project managers to create electrical drawings and approval packages as well as perform basic programming tasks. Perform field checkout of electronic control panels and other equipment. Provide customer support during start up as well as troubleshooting. Create well documented approval packages that include: Sequence of Operations; Front panel layouts; Equipment and I/O lists. Other responsibilities and functions include:

  • Use E Plan and Draftsight software to create production ready drawings
  • Conduct in-house checkout of completed systems
  • Assist Production Technicians as need with installation of components
  • Write detailed instruction manual for completed project
  • Basic PLC, HMI and PC programming
  • Communicate and request technical information with vendors and customers
  • Research new technology available in market
  • Assist customers with onsite and phone troubleshooting and system start up.
